This 3 hour workshop facilitated by Kendra Myers, is an introduction to Ashtanga Yoga. Participants will learn about the foundational concepts that guide this traditional practice, including the 8 limbs that give Ashtanga Yoga its name, and the use of breath, bandhas and drishti as central to the physical practice. Participants will be guided through the Ashtanga Primary Series slowly, with time to go over alignment considerations as well as modifications. This workshop is appropriate for individuals who have no experience with Ashtanga, as well as those with experience who wish to deepen their understanding of Ashtanga Yoga.
