This one-time special combination session brings together a new cycling and yoga experience never before offered at Thrive.
Join Eduardo and Hannah for a two-hour immersion on the bike and on the mat.
We will start with a 45-minute simulation ride of the old Buffalo Thunder Half Marathon course between Santa Fe and Cuyamungue. The ride will incorporate elements of resistance and pace that emulate a condensed version of this 13.6-mile tract along Bishops Lodge Road, Tesuque Village Road, US-84 Frontage and Buffalo Thunder Road. The nature of this ride will be largely that of endurance, with a challenging first segment gradually going uphill after a proper warmup. Fun, beat-driven music will encourage riders along the varying terrain in what will be an effective fat-burning cardiovascular workout.
After a brief transition to the yoga room, Hannah takes over from Eduardo and the session will conclude with a 60-minute Flow sequence designed to emphasize calming breathwork and mindful movement after the ride. The yoga part of the session will focus on specific muscle-groups, with the intention of releasing the hamstrings, exploring flexibility in the hips, and opening the chest for a full-body stretch and recovery. Any tension will fade away to a more relaxed and grounded sense of embodiment.
Leave feeling both energized and balanced! All levels are welcome, and modifications will be provided.
